My name is Maayke! I’m English and Dutch and grew up with a foot in both countries. As a writer, editor, and researcher, I search for inspiring stories from all over the world. Travel, nature, culture, science or history, tell me a story you are passionate about and you have my undivided attention. I’ll listen with intent, and document your story in a way it will fascinate others. 

I love to work with people and brands that have refreshing values. With a background in Environmental Science, my work brings sustainability into focus. I have years of experience in creative writing for travel platforms, and know how to put any kind of story into words. 

I believe content has the power to share a message that became clear through my own pursuits across the planet: as explorers and consumers, we should not only experience the world’s wonders but also protect them. My goal as a writer is to inspire adventure, broaden perspectives, and encourage people to help preserve what we hold dear.
